Faith Walk to Homeownership

Hosted by Bloom614 & Church of Christ on Genesee Avenue

March 19, 2026 | 6:00 PM
Church of Christ on Genesee Avenue
1889 Genesee Ave., Columbus, OH 43211

MiraCit Development Corporation is excited to share this upcoming opportunity hosted by our community partners at Bloom614 and the Church of Christ on Genesee Avenue.

Faith Walk to Homeownership is a community-centered event designed to help residents learn how to navigate the homebuying process with confidence. As Columbus continues to rank among the top housing markets in the nation, many long-term residents are finding homeownership increasingly challenging. This event brings together trusted experts, financial institutions, and housing organizations to provide practical tools and guidance for individuals looking to begin or strengthen their homeownership journey.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:

Understanding the Housing Market — how to read local market trends, identify red flags, and build a smart homebuying strategy
Down Payment Assistance & Financial Resources — including programs that help first-time buyers access funding and tax incentives
Financing Options — information for first-time buyers, refinancing homeowners, and those planning renovation projects
Protecting Your Investment — how to identify scams and take steps to support long-term financial and generational wealth

Participants will also be able to meet directly with representatives from a variety of housing and financial organizations, including lenders, housing agencies, legal advisors, and community development groups.

In addition to the educational sessions and consultations, guests can enjoy free food, refreshments, and an evening of fellowship with neighbors and community partners.

Events like this play an important role in helping residents move from housing uncertainty to long-term stability and generational opportunity.
