| MiraCit Development Corporation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, certified community housing development organization (CHDO) formed in 1993 for the purpose of spearheading revitalization in economically distressed areas within Franklin County. MiraCit’s principal service area centers around the Mock Road community in northeast Columbus, Ohio. Its mission, specifically, is to approach revitalization by developing attractive, affordable housing and home upkeep programs for low and moderate income persons, strengthening the economic viability of the neighborhood through business stimulation and the development of market rate housing, revitalizing existing park areas and addressing public service needs.
MiraCit’s board consists of neighborhood stakeholders. The Chairman of the Board is the founder and pastor of Living Faith Apostolic Church. MiraCit epitomizes the term “faith based organization” as its achievements are directly attributable to the vision, faith and commitment of its leadership.
